In 1966, Tommy Danhauer moved his family and flower shop to downtown Morganfield, from Owensboro. Tommy would continue to operate downtown Morganfield for the next 22 years.  In 1977,  his son Bruce Graduated from the University of Kentucky and purchased the acreage that the current operation sits on. The Danhauer Family opened Danhauer Greenhouses and Garden Center on Hwy 60 E in 1978.  In 1988, a new flower shop building was constructed on the property, and they haven't stopped growing or innovating since.  Currently, Bruce manages the Florist and Gift Shop while his brother Mark, and Bruce's son Bryce manage the Greenhouse, Garden Center, and Landscaping operation.
